La giornata si è aperta con due tavole rotonde dedicate agli effetti della crisi climatica sugli oceani e al ruolo strategico del mare per il Sistema Paese
Lo scorso 15 novembre Roma ha ospitato la Cerimonia dei Premi Atlantide 2025, riconoscimento assegnato dalla Fondazione Atlantide a personalità che si distinguono nella tutela del mare.
L’evento, aperto da un videomessaggio del Ministro Nello Musumeci, ha celebrato sei figure e un’associazione impegnate nella ricerca, nella divulgazione e nella salvaguardia degli ecosistemi marini.
Tra i premiati: l’esploratore Alex Bellini, noto per i suoi progetti di denuncia dell’emergenza climatica; il duo Paola Beneton e Dominique Bleichner, protagonisti di spedizioni che uniscono avventura e conservazione; il biologo marino Roberto Danovaro, figura di riferimento nella ricerca oceanografica; il medico iperbarico Fabio Faralli; l’Ufficiale della Marina Giuseppe Lai, già comandante della nave scuola Amerigo Vespucci; e la Fondazione Marevivo, da quarant’anni attiva nella difesa della biodiversità marina.

Nato nel 2016 da un’idea di Vittorio Bianchini, il Premio Atlantide si è affermato come uno dei riconoscimenti più autorevoli nel panorama della tutela ambientale marina,
sostenuto da un comitato scientifico composto da esperti di biologia, medicina subacquea, documentarismo e sicurezza marittima.
Una giornata, dunque, dedicata interamente al mare e a chi ogni giorno lavora per proteggerlo.
