Città Metropolitana di Roma Capitale in un comunicato: “Sport, turismo e valorizzazione del territorio sul Lago di Bracciano”
Si è conclusa sabato 19 luglio la 63ª edizione del Campionato del Mondo Vaurien, che ha animato per un’intera settimana le acque del Lago di Bracciano con una competizione sportiva di altissimo livello.
Oltre 2000 partecipanti e equipaggi da 14 nazioni hanno preso parte all’evento, coronato dal trionfo degli italiani Niccolò Bertola e Mattia Saggio, tornati campioni del mondo dopo il successo del 2019.
L’iniziativa, patrocinata dalla Città metropolitana di Roma Capitale, ha visto la presenza del Consigliere Angelo Pizzigallo, Sindaco di Anguillara Sabazia, insieme ai primi cittadini di Bracciano e Trevignano Romano.
Per Alessia Pieretti, Consigliera metropolitana delegata allo Sviluppo economico e alle Attività turistiche, l’evento rappresenta
«una straordinaria opportunità di promozione del territorio e di rilancio turistico, in linea con la strategia della Città metropolitana di valorizzare i suoi punti di interesse attraverso eventi di portata mondiale, specialmente in vista dell’anno giubilare».
Attorno alla gara, numerose attività culturali e momenti di aggregazione hanno coinvolto sportivi e visitatori di tutte le età, trasformando il Lago in un vero punto di attrazione internazionale.
Le congratulazioni vanno ai vincitori, agli organizzatori e al presidente dell’AS Vaurien Italia per la riuscita di un appuntamento che ha confermato il Lago di Bracciano come autentica “palestra di vento”.
