Ci racconta il giornalista e storico Flavio Martino: “Non è il primo premio nella carriera di Ranucci… a scoprire il suo talento fu Rossana Di Lorenzo”
Sigfrido Ranucci, giornalista, autore e conduttore di Report, è il vincitore della IV edizione del Premio Eugenio Scalfari Città di Civitavecchia.
Una vittoria che riporta alla luce un aneddoto, legato a una nota figura del mondo dello spettacolo:
l’attrice Rossana Di Lorenzo, indimenticabile moglie cinematografica di Alberto Sordi e sorella dell’attore Maurizio Di Lorenzo, in arte Maurizio Arena.
Il Premio, gli sarà consegnato l’11 dicembre al Teatro Traiano e rivela un particolare significativo.
Ben venticinque anni fa, fu proprio Rossana Di Lorenzo a riconoscerne le capacità.
L’occasione il Premio Fantasia, istituito dall’associazione culturale Il Tempo Ritrovato, fondata nel quartiere romano della Garbatella dai fratelli Mirella, Romolo e Adalberto Arcidiacono.
Gian Maurizio Di Lorenzo, figlio di Maurizio Arena, ricorda che Ranucci, chiamato affettuosamente Lello (all’epoca Sigfrido era un nome inusuale e difficile), è sempre stato un amico simpatico e un esempio per tutti.
Comunque, a giocare un ruolo importante è stata l’intuizione di Rossana Di Lorenzo, che ha sempre vissuto alla Garbatella, dove in quel periodo abitava anche il giornalista.
Conoscendo Ranucci come un giovane, attento e serio professionista, propose con grande entusiasmo il suo nome.
È stata tra le prime persone a intuirne il talento, consegnandogli un riconoscimento ufficiale.
Il Premio Scalfari è, quindi, la naturale e meritata prosecuzione di quella stima iniziata un quarto di secolo fa.
Un tributo alla tenacia e alla fedeltà di un rigoroso giornalismo d’inchiesta.
