L’accordo, siglato presso l’Innovation Hub dello scalo romano, punta a rafforzare il ruolo del sistema aeroportuale italiano nella transizione ecologica

Aeroporti di Roma (Adr), Enac e l’Autorità di bacino dell’Appennino centrale (Aubac) hanno firmato un protocollo d’intesa per promuovere una gestione sostenibile, resiliente e integrata delle risorse idriche negli scali aeroportuali, a partire da Fiumicino.
Tra gli obiettivi principali: il riuso delle acque reflue, l’efficientamento dei consumi, l’integrazione di infrastrutture verdi e l’uso di tecnologie digitali per il monitoraggio ambientale.
Il protocollo prevede anche lo sviluppo di modelli previsionali per la gestione del rischio idraulico.
“Questo accordo – ha dichiarato Andrea Maria Giordano, chief infrastructure officer di Aeroporti di Roma – conferma il nostro approccio nello sviluppo dell’aeroporto di Fiumicino.
Da tempo abbiamo infatti avviato azioni concrete per rendere i nostri aeroporti più resilienti ai cambiamenti climatici e per una gestione sostenibile della risorsa idrica.
Si pensi ad esempio al sistema idrico duale che all’aeroporto di Roma Fiumicino consente un notevole risparmio nei consumi di acqua”.
I rappresentanti delle tre istituzioni sottolineano l’importanza della cooperazione per coniugare efficienza operativa, tutela ambientale e innovazione.
L’iniziativa si inserisce nel percorso già avviato da Adr per rendere gli aeroporti più resilienti ai cambiamenti climatici, come dimostra il sistema idrico duale attivo a Fiumicino.
